What is the Oslo Pass?
The Oslo Pass is an official tourist card of the Norwegian capital that offers visitors free admission to over 30 museums, unlimited use of public transportation and additional discounts on tours, restaurants and attractions.
Some top attractions: Akershus Fortress, Holmenkollen, Munch Museum, Oslo City Hall, National Museum. Public transportation is free of charge.
This is how the purchase works: When you purchase the Oslo Pass via Tiqets, you will receive an activation code that must be redeemed in the official Oslo Pass app. You can then use the digital Oslo Pass.

The Oslo Pass: What is included?

With the Oslo Pass you can use all means of transport in zones 1, 2, 3, 4V and 4N of the Ruter public transport network. This allows you to reach all the sights included in the Oslo Pass. You can use the following means of transport:
No separate validation is required. It is sufficient to present the activated pass at ticket inspections. The paper ticket should be marked with the date and time of first use.
The Vy trains can also take you to Gardermoen Airport. Transportation by Flytoget or Flybus is not included.

How to use the Oslo Pass optimally
Strategically select points of interest
Research the opening times in advance and choose the most expensive attractions. The 24-hour pass is already worthwhile for museum visits worth more than NOK 445 (approx. EUR 39.00).
Plan early activation
Activate the card in the morning to use the full 24, 48 or 72 hours. Start with the museums and use public transport to travel between the attractions.
Make intensive use of public transport
Take advantage of free travel in zones 1-4, including the Bygdøy ferry. This saves additional transportation costs and allows for efficient sightseeing.
Take advantage of additional discounts
Take advantage of additional discounts in restaurants and stores included in the Oslo Pass to make further savings.
Time management & route planning
Plan your route efficiently. Visit attractions that are close to each other, such as the museums on Bygdøy or the sights in the city center.
Museums on Bygdøy
Visit the museums on the Bygdøy peninsula, such as the Fram Polar Ship Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum, Norwegian Folk Museum and Maritime Museum. These museums alone cost over NOK 600.
The Oslo Pass in three steps
1) Buy Oslo Pass
The Oslo Pass is only available as a digital product. When you purchase the Oslo Pass via Tiqets, you will receive an activation code that you must redeem in the official Oslo Pass app.
If you buy the Oslo Pass directly via the Oslo Pass app, you can also use it digitally.
2) Redeem activation code
Copy the activation code from Tiqets and paste it into the official Oslo Pass app. There you can also add and manage multiple Oslo Passes.
3) Activate the Oslo Pass
The Oslo Pass is activated using the Oslo Pass app. Navigate to „My Passes“ and activate the desired Oslo Passes with one click. From this point on, the pass is valid for 24, 48 or 72 hours.
